Question 1. How long have you lived in Hervey Bay?
Answer:  3 years
Question 2.  What is your favourite restaurant/café/bar in the Bay?
Answer:  Waterfront Restaurant next to Reef World has great food and an amazing location especially when the tide is in.  The verandah sits out over the ocean.  Perfect for a lunch date with friends.  SALT is another highly recommended place for lunch.
Question 3.  What do you do in your spare time?
Answer:  I paint rocks for our kindness basket and to hide around town on my walks.  I also love taking my dog to the beach, her favourite thing to do.  She just loves the water.
Question 4.  In your opinion, what is an absolute must-do for people visiting the Fraser Coast?
Answer:  There is always lots of things to do while visiting the Fraser Coast.  Maryborough is a great day out and so much history in this country town.  The Story Bank to read all about Mary Poppins is a must.  The Bond Store to hear about the first settlers here.  You MUST visit the painted toilets at Town Hall, they are mind blowing, especially the Gold one.  Then during Whale Season you MUST go Whale Watching as it truly is an incredible experience.  Plus you can’t miss watching the sunset over the water while enjoying a picnic on the beach.
QUESTION 5.  What is a commonly asked question you get White Crest?
Answer:  Where is somewhere good to eat? ...We have lots of great restaurants & cafes here in the bay.  Something for all tastes & budgets.
What is the best tour for K’gari (Fraser Island)?  I highly recommend a 1 day tour with K’gari Explorer Tours, it is a full day and you see all the popular tourist spots on the island. Lake McKenzie is my favourite spot to just chill and take in this peaceful, pristine oasis.
QUESTION 6.  What is something you’d love people to know about White Crest?
Answer:  Our friendly, helpful staff are number one.  We are always here to help.  Our very spacious, clean rooms are fantastic for a single person, couple or a large family.  We cater for all.  Come and see for yourself.  When showing someone a room for the first time – the comment is always “wow these are huge, so much space”.

The Hervey Bay RSL has started work on Stage 1 of the new 18 hole Mini Golf Course.  It will also have a reception area and licenced cafe.  Something new to look forward to and within walking distance of us here at White Crest.  Stay tuned!

Well Hervey Bay is about to make the big screen.  A new Aussie thriller directed by Ms Sainbury and staring Bec Hewitt, Georgie Parker & Jeremy Stanford will be filmed next week around the bay.  They will be doing alot of filming on Dundowran Beach. Very exciting for our town.

WOW what a season it has been.  So many beautiful Humpback whales have been to visit us here in the bay.  We have even had a few pods of False Killer Whales (what a treat).  Even the odd Killer Whale which haven't been seen for many years.  A massive thank you to all our tour operators for all their hard work and giving our tourists and guests such a wonderful experience.

Childers Festival is a celebration of the people and heritage of Childers! When the highway closes, Childers is transformed into an action-packed entertainment hub, hosting celebrity artists and live music from every genre and decade.
